I’d like to see all stores closed. However I realize that’s not realistic on the economical and financial part (or is it?). My store closed because there was hardly anyone willing to work. If you don’t know what exponential growth is you should watch any short YT video on it. That’s what this virus is doing right now and it’s gonna get worse before it gets better. Starbucks is all about community, and clearly putting partners out there as essential and right behind the front lines of this just because “customers love their third place is still open” is bizarre to me. Care about tour employees first. That says wayyy more to the customers than anything. How a company treats their employees.
And don’t get me wrong, there are good things coming from this like catastrophe pay for those who are immunocompromised and those who feel unsafe and want to abide by CDC guidelines . But that was mostly damage control from what I could see. Our anxieties weren’t properly addressed and not only starbucks , but so many other companies acted poorly and slowly.i was willing to take a leave of absence. And the fact I had to negotiate my health and my boyfriends health (who is essential military personnel) was unnerving to me.

Realistically there will be more and more clampdowns as people take this more seriously (add the death count rises). Many counties have completely shut down... so that most likely will be the end game. When do they open up again? few months? No one can know right now. And it will be different for each area.
