The only contact we have is these stupid corporate announcements which we ALL receive at once and have to decipher on our own. DMs are a joke. Most SMs I’ve seen are scrambling or BARELY hanging on. I’m getting tired. I’m stress sick and exhausted. I oversleep and my boss keeps scheduling me for openings when I can’t work openings. I’m tired of this. Shut us down. We are not essential. I know I’m not the only one with these sentiments.

Hey ! You can take the cat pay and still get a check until the 19th if you feel unsafe or stressed or honestly just don't want to working during this time Starbucks is paying you to self quarantine your not forced to stay and work right now

My home situation unfortunately doesn’t allow me to do this. Spending that much time at home is unsafe for me personally. I appreciate your suggestion

My main complaint this whole time has been that corporate needs to shut us down and stop play the game of whatever the baristas want
All we want is to go home and rest, this is stressful enough as is without having to make huge financial decisions for ourselves

I totally feel your frustration, I live with liver failure and am the only parent my children have, their father passed years ago.... that being said my manager said stupid things like I UNDERSTAND YOUR FEELINGS IF YOU WOULDNLIKE TO TALK ABOUT YOUR FEELINGS LET ME KNOW ... but she was an uninformed as I was. I went on catastrophic leave because I cant get sick. I literally, figuratively, and emotionally would die if I was exposed. I'm wracked with guilt because my team is important to me. But I value my family and life more. Good luck !

Just like ... "my liver doesn't respond to emotional language. It will respond positively to healthiness and negatively to COVID." Physical illness isn't a feelings thing it's a physical illness like ... but anyway good luck g, don't feel guilty a lot of this has left me seeing how empty capitalism is and how replaceable we can be, even in my own store which I adore with my whole heart :-/
