Started in 14 and there were still CDs and cards with free app downloads, when sbux used to be nice to the partners.

I first started in 07 (just started again last year) and remember so well the music cd recommendations. Great stuff

I haven't spend any significant time in a Starbucks in a long time. What kind of music do they play now?
Those are solid albums OP!

I’m so happy you posted this. My aunt who babysat me a lot was a business owner and she lived next to a Starbucks and she’d take me and my cousins over there as kids and get us decaf coffees and hot chocolate back when they still had the internet cables to hook up to laptops and tons of tables (this was like 2003-2006) and I remember going in and looking at the CD’s they had

Go listen to the album Kind Of Blue by Miles Davis. Right now.

I mean yes...I’ve done that many times. I want *dank* jazz. Also watch the Birth of Cool on Netflix.

There’s a Spotify playlist updated by r/jazz each week that includes the most upvoted submissions from the previous week. It changes weekly, but it’s usually pretty solid.
Also, that West Coast Jazz comp is probably my favorite comp ever. Can’t find it on Spotify or iTunes, but there’s a copy for sale on eBay for $10. Highly recommend.
