We’re still busy and hungry (self.starbucksbaristas)

My store is the only store that’s still making a profit in my district. We’re also busy and running out of food items daily because local partners from closed stores are coming for lunch. I had to have a bag of chips for lunch today. How is everyone else’s store?

Aww I’m sorry :(. I’ve been marking out my food at the beginning of my shift and putting it in the back fridge to make sure I have lunch.

We get a delivery today so when I come in tomorrow I will be hoarding stuff. My SM actually told us to do that. There’s a Jimmy Johns sandwich shop right by our store and my manager bought us each a sandwich the other day because we only had a few breakfast sandwiches left over

Just out of curiosity, why are you still working?
drubhub [OP] 7 points 3y ago
My store is still open. But personally, I need money and we may be forced to shut down and I’d be SOL after the 30 days in that case

But you're entitled to thirty days of paid time off just by saying you don't feel safe from the virus at work. If your store closes, they will extend your paid leave.

Well I’m not feeling unsafe from the virus. I’d rather make sure I’m being paid than take it too early on. This could get worse you know

It’s currently only available until April 19. My understanding is that no matter when you decide to stop working, you’re only paid until April 19.

It is a one time deal until the 19th I believe. You can not start that one month whenever you want.
I worked a week of it and I will have three weeks with it. :)

I heard if the store closes, you get the 30 days, then use whatever sick time and stuff you have and then idk after that. Or is that just if you take the cat pay and continue to stay home?
OkayWhatSize 1 points 3y ago
I believe that is for people who live with high risk people or have contracted the virus itself
