When you see that they’ve extended the 30 days till May 3 and you don’t know whether to go back or not on the 19th like you were supposed to (i.redd.it)

avbzz 34 points 3y ago
I am not coming back until the 3rd. I’m not putting my family at risk
PlatinumPetey 24 points 3y ago
Nope. Its may 3.
Anonymous4444666 [OP] 5 points 3y ago
I realize that but I don’t know if I should go back and help my team the day I was supposed to.

>go back and help my team

it's not your friends you would be helping. it's the company. your friends could help themselves and everyone at the store by staying home. keep in mind this is a kind of leverage the company uses to get people to do extra things for usually under 10 an hour.

I love my friends at work, too.

No. Your health over everything else, especially when covid-19 is getting worse, the store won’t burn down if you aren’t there

I know it's May 3red, but I'm sitting here wondering if I will/should/could go back after the 19th.
hailiesandersl 3 points 3y ago
I took the 30 days but I’m realizing that the money isn’t enough, sooo I think imma go back and work as much as I can while I get the extra $3

I understand. If I didn't live with compromised individuals and was guaranteed enough hours I'd work too. Please check if you can go back and forth like that though bc I heard you cannot. You can only take cat pay once.
Anonymous4444666 [OP] 3 points 3y ago
same
JCaligirl420 7 points 3y ago
Same. I feel like we should open and let the other store have a break, but then I’m scared to death. I have immune issues, my mother is 69 and not healthy argh
coffeeslinger2000 9 points 3y ago
I mean, the employees at the other store have the same opportunity to take the cat pay too but I know everyone has their reasons for working (most of which I see are financially motivated). I’m willing to sacrifice my tips and the extra hourly pay to not have to work during a pandemic; so was everyone at my store so ours is closed.
doomdesire23 2 points 3y ago
Don’t risk it
potterlyfe 6 points 3y ago
My manager basically told me she was just going to extend mine because she doesn’t want me back. There are too many employees wanting hours and not enough to give them so she was grateful I didn’t want to come back till may 3rd. Lol
gaayrat 3 points 3y ago
Nope. I’m staying out until I feel it’s safe to go back to work. They can keep paying me
LittleHellkat 3 points 3y ago
Are they continuing the extra pay to them for baristas that ended up staying or that will return on the 19th
TheHype2020 2 points 3y ago
Extra pay has also been extended to the third

Wait what? When did they release this info? Anyone have a link or something?
Anonymous4444666 [OP] 1 points 3y ago
It’s on partner hub.
grunkle_spooky 1 points 3y ago
oh dip
groovysadgirl 1 points 3y ago
Everyone from my store is still working but me and I feel like they hate me for it
gaayrat 3 points 3y ago
Don’t feel bad. You’re doing the right thing
thisbitchlovesbeards 1 points 3y ago
I felt guilty for not working too, but honestly my health over their wealth. I love my job and support our store, but I cannot support the spread of this disease when people can make coffee and breakfast at home. Sorry not sorry.
Anonymous4444666 [OP] 1 points 3y ago
I have no idea who took cat pay at my store I’m so worried that I’m the only one!!
SJNicole 3 points 3y ago
I promise you you’re not the only one. Do what makes you feel safe; don’t let guilt dictate your decision.
NOTcreative- 1 points 3y ago
You go back if you’re feeling good and want to. If not, you got till May third. We’re assuming all partners currently on cat pay are staying there unless they tell us otherwise. Your manager should also be calling you twice a week to check in on how you’re doing and update you on benefits.
Anonymous4444666 [OP] 1 points 3y ago
My manager hasn’t even texted me once this entire time and is ignoring all of my text messages.
NOTcreative- 1 points 3y ago
Do you have your DMs number?
Anonymous4444666 [OP] 1 points 3y ago
no
NOTcreative- 3 points 3y ago
Call PRSC accessible through 1 888 728-9411. Tell them you have not heard from your SM at all and have no idea about what the benefits extended to you are and don’t feel like your needs as a partner are being met.

Nope
rhondasmelody 1 points 3y ago
So wait. My store closed like a week and a half ago. What does "they extended the 30 days till the 3rd" mean?

Am I flat out it covered till the 3rd? Or is it just a flat 30 days
mpk1012 2 points 3y ago
I’m wondering the same thing
