If you’re getting your average paycheck (self.starbucksbaristas)

Why am I scheduled 12-25 hours when I usually work 30(picking up a shift or staying late ) ? And why am I even scheduled if I’m taking cat pay?

SM here.
You're still getting scheduled so that it shows in the system that you're an active partner.
Your SM just probably let the schedule auto generate and left your shifts as they showed up.

Should i be concerned that my sm hasn't been scheduling me at all then? I'm on cat pay. I really dont want to lose this job because my sm doesn't have me on the schedule (I believe he isn't putting anyone on cat pay on the schedule though)

It may be tricky with stores that remain open. Sorry I don't have a clear answer to that. If you don't have access to Teamworks reach out to your SM to make sure that your average for cat pay is showing up. My team's average was very close to what was scheduled week of 3/23, it will update this upcoming Tuesday for the week of 3/30. As far as I was told it would be the same but I'm going to keep a close eye on that.

What do you mean “teams average” ? My average is going to be significantly higher than my teams. Mostly we have college student that work less than 10hrs/week. I’m one of the very few people that get almost 40/hrs consistently. Am I going to be getting the store average or will I be receiving my own? You kinda got me worried here 😓

Oh dang sorry it meant that individually their averages were close to what each partner was scheduled that week. Sorry if it wasn't clear! Not as a whole team.

So we’re being paid our average for cat pay? Just trying to get clarification, as I’m scheduled half what I normally am.
CriesInBarista 2 points 3y ago
You should be yes. My team's average was very close to what was scheduled the week of the 3/23. I was told it was going to be that average every week. I will see if that's true this upcoming Tuesday.
In my District we were told to get in touch with every partner to let them what that average was.
If you don't have access to Teamworks to see what it was maybe reach out to your SM?

Thank you so much for the info! I will get in touch with my SM.

I was told that my average hours were the average of February, basically. So 32 hours a week. I'm not on any schedule and was told that cat pay had to be entered manually? I started my leave on 3/18 as the 14 day but extended it to 4/20 as the 30 day. For those first two weeks I have been paid normally. For the week of 3/23 to 3/29 it shows I have 0 scheduled/punched hours but every day has "Catastrophic Pay" in the box. For this week, it just shows 0 scheduled/punched as it hasn't been entered yet, I assume?

For my team cat pay was automatically put in Monday, and visible on Tuesday on Teamworks.
I was told that the average was going to be February as well ,but it seemed that week of 3/23 was close to what was scheduled as there was a schedule for that week, I should know more on Tuesday, for the hours for the week of 3/30 there was a schedule there as well.

I don’t mean to be so hostile + entitled. This new SM that has “taken over “ i am not the most comfortable with ! (My SM seems to be MIA) thank you for the speedy reply
CriesInBarista 1 points 3y ago
No worries. I didn't take it that way, I'm glad I can answer some questions on here as it seems a lot of people are confused/unsure about what's happening.
For us SMs as well. We get new info every day/every few days. So it always changes.

Do you like being an SM?
CriesInBarista 2 points 3y ago
For the most part yes. I opened a new store last year, I have a pretty great team, we aren't super busy but hit about 35k a week.
There are of course annoying things, but I can honestly say since my store closed on 3/21 I've been missing going in and interacting with the team. We have a group chat going and just share memes and random stuff we are working on in isolation.

I checked my last pay stub and it said i was getting cat pay
