You become eligible for benefits after 3 months of averaging 20 hours a week. You’ll get stuff in the mail or you can just go on to mysbuxben.com. If you miss that initial deadline the annual enrollment for benefits is in August and you still have to average 20 hours a week.

You can also have a “qualifying event” like getting married or like in my case I aged out of my parents’ insurance and lost their coverage, so that allowed me to start on Sbux insurance. The mysbuxben website has everything you need to look at pricing options at differing levels of coverage, and you can call the number listed there to set up your dental and/or other insurances! I totally threw away all of the insurance benefit stuff I got in the mail so I was really grateful everything I needed was just online, even a count of how many benefits eligible hours I have.
