Today is my first day of tips. I know they’re going to explain it to me, but what are the steps to do tips???

We only have the tubes not the trays, but that would save a lot of time! Those seem cool.
Also my manager would laugh in my face if I gave her the receipt for the trays and tell me that I don’t need it and to continue separating it by hand into cups like I have been 😂

How long does it usually take you?

It depends really. Like if there’s a rush and all the shifts are too busy to change out the rolls of coins for bills, it can take me about an hour and fifteen minutes. Also, there are times I have to re-write all the partner tip envelopes because they tend to drop them in the bucket, or take their envelope home accidentally.

Ah I see. I’m a shift so I just make my own change when I’m done usually I get everything done and into their bags in a little under an hour so the trays do help a bit

Ya that’s what we use! Then we switch out the rolls of coins with dollars from the safe so everyone gets bills.

First you have to take it to a store to get most of if in bills. Then you divide total money by total hours to get your rate.
After that multiply everyone’s hours by the rate and that’s how much they get.
Total money \ total hours= rate
Rate x tippable hours

Tips are no longer allowed to leave the store. You must sort and roll coins.

Ah that sucks. I wouldn’t know. I took the paid leave. I’m just going off what I was told when I did tips last. Hopefully my formula is at least still accurate.

It's total money/total hours worked in your store. That number will be on the bottom of the tip distribution sheet. That number is your dollars per hour. Now you can times the dollar per hour by each baristas individual hours.
