It really depends, if you’re willing to take advantage of a lot of their benefits then yes I’d say it’s worth it. If you already drink a lot of starbucks regularly then I’d say yes even more because of a 30% discount.
Overall, I was in a position similar to you, I had a lot of customer service experience already and starbucks looked like a lot of fun! But if I did this again, I’m not too sure if I would pick starbucks. There’s a lot of stress, and depending on your store can either add or subtract from it. When I first started I had many partners who were outright rude to me to the point where I was seriously contemplating quitting within my first month. They’re still not the best coworkers, but I decided to not take that BS and now they know to leave me alone. Overall though my other partners are amazing and are the only reason I’m still there.
And for what it’s worth I’ve covered at other stores and holy shit, they have so much better work environment everyone is joking and laughing and I was lowkey jealous. Choose your store wisely! I know it’s not always possible to go for your first choice but spend a few hours studying/hanging out in the lobby during peak hours and see how they interact with each other.
For benefits... the ones most important I think are
- One free food and unlimited drinks during your shift(Super good unless you had a habit of bringing premade food from home)
- 30% discount@ starbucks
- Discounts at retailers (this is so-so, I’ve only used it twice at adidas)
- Health Benefits(Probably one of the best benefits since you only need to average 20 hrs/week)
- 401k matching(Basic for a company but its something)
- ASU(Online college essentially free after reimbursement)
Up there I said I wouldn’t do this again, and it’s mainly because I’m still covered under a family work plan so there was no need for health benefits. I’m already in college and almost graduating so ASU was unnecessary. As a result, the only thing starbucks provided for me over other retail jobs was
- A resume addition(since Starbucks is fairly decent)
- Free food on days I worked
- 30% off when I want starbucks
( I didn’t drink coffee before I started, and I’m just recently going more often... so it’s so-so)
Edit: Minor typos

Best part is the people. Your coworkers and your regulars are what makes this job worth it. However, if you are more motivated by rewards, there are benefits including: minimum 3 free drinks a shift, a pound of coffee (or of tea if in canada) a week, one food item a shift if you are american. You also get health insurance for not too many hours hours (again if you are american), or benefits if you are canadian. You get a 30% discount on all items when not working.
Worst part is the demands. If its a drive through store your times have to be low. You also are rated /100 on a customer connection store, so you have to continually work at that. Some customers can be rude, and some managers play favourites.
I personally like working here, but you must be able to work under time pressure and have some sort of thick skin when dealing with customers
