They can’t retaliate towards you. Just document everything. I don’t understand why anyone would.

bro big same... apparently my manager was "shitty" to another partner who had taken the initial leave but wanted to come back.

It genuinely disgusts me that managers use your own safety and well being against you

Exactly! What's worse is that our SM didn't even TELL us about the leave til May 3rd.. found out from another SM that came to help once the cafe stores shut down. we don't learn anything from her.

Dang, really??? I noticed too from a lot of people’s posts it seems like a lot of SMs are either withholding information or manipulating it to guilt trip partners into not taking pay as a whole...pretty shady 🤔

Yeah, I'm really annoyed by her and this isn't the first time she's withheld information from us. Like, I understand that I'm new and all (started beginning of March) but at the same time, I deserve to know about this as well. I'm legitimately considering transferring to another store (the same store the GOOD SM comes from).

Maybe I’m the only one having a positive experience with cat pay, but hopefully it shines some light. I took cat pay starting the first day out cafe closed. I told my SM I would take 2 weeks and then work at the drive thru near me. 2 weeks rolled around and I had anxiety because of my personal medical history and never working at a drive thru/using old espresso machines. I texted my SM explaining my anxiety and she told me if I wasn’t 100% comfortable working, I should take the cat pay until may 3rd. She was super understanding and helpful. Funny thing is— it took me 3 hours to form the text bc I was so anxious about her response.

I am opting out after this weekend but I stayed until the point when all of my shifts but one and SM decided it was time. They are bringing in partners and a SM from another store to run out because we are more profitable. Only 3 or 4 people from our store are staying. Honestly would have stayed but I don’t want to wear a mask it’s uncomfortable while barring and that’s my main position. I don’t really want to stop working will see how long it lasts before I go back
