Is anyone else in the situation where they're working for Starbucks and depending on it to pay for tuition (ASU), while studying? Usually, there's a set amount of required Starbucks hours needed to continue ASU payouts while working.
With Covid, ASU waived those hours for a while. Wondering if anyone else is in the same situation. Have you heard anything new? Ugh, this is so stressful.... Thanks!

Hours are covered for March/April and lowered to an unset number for may. With an extension possible.
My DM said everyone doing ASU does not need to worry about reaching hours and that they will be taken care of.

Thanks, that's consistent with what I've been told. Hopefully the ASU related hours will be taken care of in May with that unset number as well, if it comes to that (hopefully not) 🤞

As a couple others have pointed out, benefit hours required were reduced to handle this situation. I cannot tell you how relieved I was to hear this. So as long as you were in good standing before, you should be fine now :-)

Awesome! Glad to hear that :) Same here, I feel really fortunate and lucky and am grateful to have one less thing to worry about in the middle of this Covid shitstorm. Hope you and your family are safe!

My dm told us on a conference call last night that no matter the hours we work right now, asu will stay how it normally is with our normal work hours. So no worries about being dropped from tuition and what not. Hope that helps.
