I have a full time job that I work Monday-Friday 7a-4pm and then I usually work at sbux Mon-Wed and Fridays from 4:30-9p and since I’m a SSV I open on Sundays. When it starts to get overwhelming I usually just request a few days off...but since corona has changed my store hours I’ve been relaxing on cat pay.

Starbucks will (almost) always have hours for you set your hours at your new job first, then adjust your Starbucks availability as necessary!!

Edit: it should also go without saying BUT your life and what makes you comfortable and happy is much more important than what your SM thinks. Ultimately it’s a large part of their job to be support for you and your needs and if you need to adjust your availability then they should help you to do that!!!

Thanks for this reply! You’re awesome. I’m just a brand new employee. I think I had 5 days of training before the 30 days took effect so I really know nothing. Good advice though, I’ll just call my new jobs manager and ask what she thinks my schedule will look like and go from there with starbucks.

I work two jobs as well. My SM is actually super awesome about my schedule. Just make sure to keep them in the loop about how you're feeling. It can be exhausting and overwhelming so don't be afraid to cut back/give up shifts.
