One think that is interesting is how my preference for what I do at work has shifted. I used to love bar, now I dont- I enjoy doing drive thru window and taking orders at the same time! Idk its like a fun game to see how fast I can go. Drinks are complicated and I mess up often.
What do yall enjoy the most and least? Some shifts im on window the whole time.

I love cafe bar SO I can talk to customers and if there's an areshole I just pretend I gotta really focus on 'this' drink (iced chai lattes are tricky)

Yeah I’ve been a partner for almost 3 years and throughout my time here I would have different preferences in my roles for the day. I used to love to clean all closing dishes and whatever needed to be cleaned but now I’d rather just bar the rest of my shift till it’s all over

I think bar is the most fun but the most stressful. I also love to solo drive! I can get into a good rhythm there and I like talking to customers. My least favorite, by far, is CS.

It's kind of lonely. Everyone else can talk and interact, but on CS you're either running around or doing dishes, and often don't even have a headset. I also feel like everyone is telling me they need this or that immediately, so I'm trying to do ten things at once. Then there's the brew timer which seems to always go off right when I'm in the middle of something. I don't like doing the gross jobs like changing trash or cleaning drains or the bathroom, either. On top of that, it's physically the hardest job, and it makes my back ache, lol.

I think we tend to like what we’re good at, so my hyperactive ADHD ass loves cold bar (soloing hot+cold is fun to) and CS, but suckkkkk at drive and customer connections.

It used to be bar until I was on bar every shift for like a year straight. Now I’m just thankful when I get a break from it once in awhile. My least favorite is front for sure though. I hatttteeee taking orders for cafe customers.

CS! I get so bored taking orders, hate dealing with rude customers, and honestly bar is really overwhelming to me. I also get really irritated when I’m not on CS and I’m mentally taking count of everything needs to be done and the person on CS isn’t doing anything. Not to flex but I have it down to a science and hate when people can’t prioritize things.

CS!! if you get bored with one activity, you can always switch to another. there's no stress because you're just an extra person to help out restocking and cleaning can be done at your own pace (typically) :'))

It depends on the day lol. If I don’t feel like talking to anyone then bar for me. If I want to talk to some people or I’m getting too overwhelmed at bar then I like to go to drive thru. And if I feel like being lazy, in house 🤷🏾♀️.
