As the title says, im a former 272**** after about a year looking to return back to work for the siren. I left due to conditions at my old store, but regardless of location, i loved starbucks. It introduced me to coffee in general, and was the reason i continued my coffee journey to becoming Assistant lead roaster at my specialty coffee shop now. Because of Good ol mrs. Rona, we’ve temporarily been shut down - so here i am wanting to return back to my roots. Ive found a good store, re applied, and am now awaiting a video call interview in the next few days. That being said, whats new? Whats old? What should i know/look out for? Anything would help. Glad to *hopefully* be back!

I’m also a 272! It’s about the same as it was just DT only and a few new drinks. You’ll be fine

Hey I’m a 272 as well! As far as general updates:
•we do have a couple new drinks as well as new ingredients like the pumpable honey blend (awesome for the HCMT!)
•I don’t know if you were still with Starbucks when they updated the POS, but they took off several drinks such as the iced cold foam cappuccino, latte macchiato, cinnamon almond-milk macchiato (?), etc.
As for corona updates:
•Face masks, either homemade or provided by Starbucks (if they ever come in ://), are now required at all times
•I guess thats about it?? At my store at least, we’re more vigilant about sanitizing things and washing hands but it’s nothing too crazy. Also, being dt only is kind of nice - you can yell across the store, dance, sing, etc. with nobody but your coworkers to judge you :))

Ahh the new drinks, have had some after christmas and they’re damn good. I miss nitro so much! I was there when they changed the POS, explaining to people why the price of the latte macchiato changed was a lovely hassle, but thats okay haha! I loved drive through, one of my favorite parts was connecting and talking to people, so thats good! Do you know how long stores will be drive only? Thanks so much!

So technically we’re scheduled to go back to “normal” May 3rd, but given the situation it’s likely that they’ll extend drive-through only and cat pay at least until June

Catastrophe pay is not being extended! Your SM or DM should have reached out to you by now. Cat pay ends on May 3rd.
