is there any rules about giving your sm a present? there is going to be a card that most baristas can sign (not the ones on cat), so it's generally from everyone. or do we need to wait for everyone to come back from cat so everyone can sign?

We just gave our SM a card signed from everyone we could get signatures from the week before officially closing the store. Go for it !

Omg yes! Please do! That’s amazing your team wants to do that, they must be an awesome store leader! Please make sure someone takes pictures! I’m sure they will love to have the moment captured as will you. They won’t expect it at all!
