Look at all that counter space at the drive thru register area! My store has the tiniest of counter space & then partners just stack crap behind the registers & the cluster of all the drive-thru, mobile, & delivery drives me insane!

For sure! We’ve been closed for about a month (since cafe only stores are all closed) while the new store is under construction so I’m actually kind of eager to get back to work!😂

coming from someone taking cat pay, enjoy it. i miss every minute of it but i can’t risk my, and my family’s safety at the moment. hopefully things will return to some sort of normalcy soon!

Totally understandable. I also can’t wait for things to be normal again. When I go back next week we all are required to wear masks and gloves at all times🙄 stay safe though!😊

I’m really upset my store which hasn’t been updated in 20+ years isn’t under construction especially since we closed before the stay at home order.

That is annoying😕 ours was one of the first Starbucks in CT and was supposed to be turned into a Chick fil a a long time ago and is just now being moved😂

Ohhh I feel you! I’d be like a giddy little kid on Christmas morning walking into that store and seeing all that glorious counter space! The tiny counter space at my DT drives me insane because it just a massive cluster unless someone is there to setup the order’s for you. I also can’t wait until my store gets those new espresso machines because they look gorgeous and I really wanna learn on them so badly!

My previous store was the same way and I didn’t even have DT there😂 I’m excited to see how the new machines are. I’ve heard that the quality of the shots is even better on these ones!😍

It might not be managements fault. I know that a lot of towns (especially in the tristate area) have very difficult zoning and building laws. So getting all of the paperwork 100% perfect is always a struggle In those areas. (We had to stop mid Reno at my former store because they had messed up the paperwork, so then it was rescheduled for June, and now probably won’t be finished for at least a year)

Ah that makes sense! The guy in charge of the construction there would come into our store all the time and told us that Starbucks as a company is kind of annoying to work with. Like they would take a long time to get back to them about a part they needed and it just elongated the process

Thats true, but idk because my manager had told us we were set to go and the third time she even had other stores ready for us, She was on the phone with the other store manager where I was going to lol, got us all hype for nothing 😖

Yea a lot of the time management doesn’t know what’s really going on. The McDonald’s I used to work at was told that we were going to get a remodel in 2016, they still haven’t remodeled. Haven’t even gotten new drivethru headsets. Management can only tell you what they think they know. Anything else is above their pay grade especially last minute changes.

One of the stores in my district is opening up a new drive thru too. I haven’t seen pictures of it but it sounds spacious as well. Maybe that’s the direction Starbucks is heading for remodels and new stores hopefully
