im still working bc i need that pay, so our hours are 6-6, the longest in our district which means everyone comes to our store now 😅 i clocked in at 1:15 today and our line was out to the street for the 5 hours i worked today it literally never stopped. we had to have a partner turn cars away at 5:45 so we could get people out by 6. we counted and in total there was 30 cars we turned away at that point + tried to come into our parking lot before they saw the A-frame we could finally put to block the DT. it’s just insane that we are so much more busy all day because instead of serving those who still work and first responders, people are deciding to come as a family outing (seriously i made so many tall creme based fraps today i want to d i e) anyways not really a vent but just speaking to the void. i like working bc it keeps some sense of normalcy but dang people are way meaner and also more dumb it feels like (lemme tell you monday was a DAY). hope everyone is staying safe and sane!!!

One lady SCREAMED at me because she waited in a 30 minute line at my grocerystorebucks just for a GRANDE PIKE (out of all drinks you could wait in line 30 minutes for) and then showed up 5 minutes after close to find out we already dumped it. Yup, coffee's gone the second the clock strikes close🤣

Oh wow yours is still open? What store is it? I’m in a target one and I really want to go back. They have us in other locations but I rather be in my little corner than be exposed to the groups of people.

Its a big Canadian chain which you might not have heard of before. I know many part-time workers in the store are so happy because they've been getting extra shifts doing personal shopping for grocery deliveries rn. Must feel homesick being away from Starbucks :(. Honestly though, it feels like we're only open cos store management doesn't wanna give up their coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Like I'd say 30-40% of our sales are just employees and we barely hit 800-900 these days. Very boring. Hope you're staying safe. At my store no one follows the safety warnings of one-way traffic and social distancing. 🙄

On days off I stay home, no reason to go out at all like most of these people who are bored. I mostly gather items for online orders and that’s where I’m being super exposed. But hopefully people start to slowly calm down and stay home with all the puzzles and food they bought the past 4 weeks. You stay safe too! We’re hopefully set to go back next month. They installed plexiglass at the registers so that helps.

I work in a kiosk in King Soopers, we are still open though I heard the Safeway and Target ones closed for the duration. I wish we had, honestly.

I’m in a grocery store in PA and we are still open. It’s so annoying honestly. People bringing their kids in all day long and getting Frappuccinos. All. Day. Long. They’re mad cuz we have one door for entrance and one for exit and they have to walk the entire length of the store to get to us. 🙄🙄 Starting tomorrow they have to have a mask to even get in the fire. I can’t wait.

This was happening to our store. It was miserable. Then when they mandated we wear masks we were all kinds of twisted. We worked through the worst parts of this plague without them... NOW they want us to wear them? So we all jumped ship and they closed our store. We got no help from any of the partners from closed stores. No other managers wanted to come to our store, nobody wanted to help us. Our numbers were just as high as no plague days. It was ridiculous. So. We drew a line. We are supposed to reopen on the 3rd. I don’t think everybody is coming back. I will, but without the mask mandate. I’m pregnant and can’t breath with them on. I’m due to go on maternity leave in June.... I’m hoping it clears up enough so I can make some money before that.

Bro just last night we had a lady sit out our window for 15 minutes before it finally weirded us out and we got our shift on duty to talk to her. She wanted a fucking traveler. Couldnt even remember what to call it but she wanted it even though we were closed.

I went to get my mark out at the only store in my district and the line was stupid! I was out in the street and sat there for about 10 mins and moved once!! I got out of line and will try again at another store, go buy some coffee, or come on Monday morning. It’s insane how many people think the NEED coffee!! I’m a barista and have had Starbucks 1 time in a month!

That's why I put extra sugar and coffee base in the bratty kids drinks who literally come everyfuckingday. Maybe theyll get too fucking hyper and you wont get them A GOD DAMN ESSENTIAL VANILLA BEAN FRAPPA-FUCKING-CINNO
