So with reduced hours but store still opening, how many hours are you getting? (self.starbucksbaristas)

My cafe store will be opening May 4th unfortunately. (Obviously no one allowed inside). We're open 6am-2pm and I don't know how the heck we're supposed to get decent hours.

As A shift I'll get more than most, but still. How many hours have you been getting with these reduced store hours?

On the hub it says for the month of May they will use cat pay to bridge the gap between hours worked and your average hours! PLUS when you work you get the +$3/hr 🤗

Does it? Oh thank Buddha.
So, I'm assuming say you work 35 hours at the store, you get the base pay + $3.00. And then if you are missing 5 hours out of your average hours you'd just get your normal base rate to bridge that gap?

Exactly! I was really worried about hours too until I saw that. I took a screen shot of the hub but don’t know how to share pics on here lol. You can check for yourself from home! It’s Rossann’s latest update titled “Comprehensive Partner Care as We Adapt to COVID-19”.

i work anywhere from 4 to 8 hours at my store. 8 hours means I'm almost open to close. my store is open 8-4

I’m still getting the same hours but more $$. I only work 20-24 hours a week before all of this.

I'm on cat pay, but concerned about this too, especially since I'm not sure how long benefits eligibility will be adjusted for the situation. Only one person from my store stayed to work while borrowed partners filled in, so I feel like hours are fair game for basically everyone. I'm wondering if some of the younger staff and partners with kids will take a LOA, but that still leaves a lot of us trying to grab limited hours.

Does your store have limited staff for the purpose of social distancing among partners? That'll be a factor as well.

I have no idea. My manager hasn't said anything specific and it's not even a definite that we're opening back up yet. They're just shooting for May 4th at this point.

I'm hoping to have a new job by then.
