So I've noticed on some recipes and during winter, we use less pumps of peppermint in drinks and on cold bar but I can never figure out how much for which drinks and why. I mostly wanna know why so I can remember the drinks better. And I know there are other flavors we do this with too. I think with the honey blend we still only put 2 like honey packets???? I'm not sure. I keep meaning to check the cards and on the iPad but I'm busy making drinks then I forget....

It depends on if you’re making a drink that uses CBS pumps or espresso bar pumps. So a frappuccino uses CBS pumps so a venti peppermint mocha frap would get 4 CBS pumps which is 2 espresso bar pumps of peppermint. But a venti hot peppermint mocha would get 5 espresso bar pumps.

But why is it different during winter??? And isn't toffeenut just one or two pumps for a frap?? Is that because the computer knows that as an espresso syrup and not a cold bar syrup??

It’s not different in winter lol. Recipes always stay the same. I just used a holiday drink as an example. So toffee nut is 1/2/2 in a frap if it has an espresso bar pump. If it has a CBS pump it’s the normal 2/3/4.

I think you have it backwards. Espresso pumps are shorter than cold bar so you need more not less.

uhh no espresso pumps are the big white ones and cbs pumps are half pumps that are short and have a wider pump top. so an espresso pump is double a cbs and it would need half the pumps to equal the recipe with cbs pumps.

I trained during winter and the peppermint mocha drink (when we actually had the button) was less, I'm almost 98 percent certain. I even asked my managers and all they said was "That's a good question!". Hmmm.... fuck maybe I'm going insane. Only time will tell..

There’s very few drinks that split pumps. Peppermint mocha gets full pumps of both syrups, but like a black and white mocha splits the pumps between the syrups. Sometimes when looking on the POS it looks like the pumps are different because it’ll show the espresso bar pumps and not the CBS pumps. The recipe cards should all be on the hub and it will say if a drink uses espresso pumps or cbs pumps
