So I was supposed to start over a month ago but then, you know, corona..
Hours got cut back, my training date got pushed back.. blah blah blah
Anyway, I'm supposed to start training around the first week of May. Anything I should get a heads-up about? I'm really excited(and nervous!)

Don’t expect to understand everything right away! Be really patient with yourself. I beat myself up hard at first because it was so much to learn and I thought I’d never get it. Before you know it though everything that’s hard at first becomes muscle memory. You’ll have a great time!

Hi, I am a barista trainer! I will definitely say ask all the questions while you can. Also, don’t stress yourself out trying to memorize everything because you will not and that’s okay. I’ve had trainees that take notes, but it’s not mandatory. Keep in mind everyone learns different. If you feel your trainer is going too fast ask them to slow down. Don’t freak out by all the information you receive. The more practice you get, the better you will be. “Practice makes perfect!” 😊

Good luck! 👍🍀

TONS of information with be thrown at you. You are not a sponge that will absorb all of that information. You will only retain some of that instantly, and that’s ok. Don’t let it overwhelm you and don’t be afraid to ask questions

Give yourself time and ask a MILLION questions! The more questions, the better! That’s how I became a beast on bar/drive <3 Take it one day at a time and be patient. There are going to be days when you’re super overwhelmed, but that happens to literally everyone, whether they’re a new partner or well seasoned barista. Hope this helps 💚
