Good evening everyone, hope you’re all staying as safe as you can while working during this pandemic!
I’m a barista from FL that will be transferring in a few monthsto a store in Seattle. After googling for a bit it seems as though the min wage for a barista in Seattle is 16.39, but my manager was telling me that that’s only in Downtown Seattle, and is as low as 13.50 anywhere else in Seattle.
Just looking for some answers from some actual Baristas that work in that area!

I work in North Seattle. Your information is current. Within city limits, you get paid 16.50. as you move beyond the wage goes down. The further out you get from downtown the less you get paid.

If you live downtown, barely. If you work full time and rent a room or have a cheap small studio you can make it work.
I rent a room for $500 a month and I'm living comfortably about 30 minutes north of Seattle.

“Within city limits” just means the border of Seattle that you can find If you just google it right?
