My shift gave me some very important advice that I will forever carry with me. There are two things we don’t cry over. Boys, and Mr. Starbucks.

Mistakes will happen. It's a fun job. Have fun and take it easy. Also you'll learn all you need to know before you realize.

Be prepared to feel like you’re drowning. I remember my very first day I was staring out of the drive thru window into the void considering quitting lol. But I’m glad I stuck with it because it actually isn’t that hard to learn everything if you have a lot of practice. If you want to feel more comfortable, I found using the actual Starbucks app to study the drinks to be pretty helpful. Some recipes are wrong, but the majority of drinks when you lick on them show you how many pumps of syrup, shots, default milks, etc go in each drink and their size. Hope that helps!

You'll likely feel overwhelmed at first and that is totally okay. It can take a couple weeks or even months to feel comfortable with the sheer emount kf information you learn. If you're ever unsure, just ask your fellow baristas for help. It's better to ask and get it right.
