Insurance question? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by ghoulboy1
I'm suppose to be qualifying for insurance on the 1st, but I was wondering if anyone knew if the dental covers teeth extraction? I have terrible teeth despite brushing and flossing everyday, and theres a few terrible ones I just want yanked out. My front right tooth chipped yesterday while brushing them 😤
Anyways I want some pulled, including my two front massive buck teeth that are already loose somehow.
I would assume they wouldnt cover partial dentures so I'm expecting to pay for that myself. Any ideas though? Thanks.

If you have a lot of work that needs to be done go for the highest plan. I got the one from Cigna and my deductible is $50 and they cover up to 2k. Usually dentist want to try to save a tooth instead of pulling it especially teeth in the front. Tooth extraction usually is under basic like filling and stuff. Every insurance is different in what they consider basic or not.

Thank you! That's really good to know. Both my parents have terrible genes so all 4 of their kids (including me) have so many problems. Like my 7 year old sister has most of her teeth filled. Its rough but glad to know I'll be getting good dental

Yea i suffered from severe acid reflux a couple years ago throwing up everyday so all my teeth are super messed up. I finally getting them back on track it’s not easy but it will happen.

I too have Cigna and they’ve been good to us so far, I’ve only had one issue with them not paying for a service for my youngest son a few years ago, but other then that they’ve paid for our dental work.
