Average hours/pay question. (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hey everyone, so I've been on CAT pay for about three weeks now since my store shut down and have been trying to parse rumors from truth. I'm scheduled to go back next week and I usually get about 38 hours as a shift. I'm down to 11 now. I heard that they're going to be paying the difference, but I can't find the information anywhere on the hub. I just wanted to make sure this was true, especially because there's no way in hell I can live off of 11 hours a week and don't feel like I should be forced to use sick or vacation time for this. I'm sure this has been asked a dozen times over, but I was hoping to verify and maybe get pointed in the right direction for where to look.

I can confirm, I get the same hours a week as you and also scheduled for less hours next week. My store manager confirmed that CAT pay will make up for the difference. I do have to inform you though that the $3 extra service pay only applies to hours worked. Those 11 hours you will be paid for service pay but the rest at your normal hourly rate. Hope this helps!

Hey, I’ll take the 3 dollars where I can get it as long as my paycheck keeps my apartment over my head and my internet on for my classes. Thanks a ton!

Haha no worries, glad I could help! If you wish to work more hours to get more of that service pay rate, my SM told we could always pick up extra hours around our area. Many stores have shifts to fill due to partner LOAs taking place, so ask around! :)

Is this only for shifts? (Reg barista here)
I’ve gotten no news at all .-.

In my store, we used to be open until 8:30 PM. We now close at 3 and we’re allotted 2 hours to close as we do no pre closing now. Our closers will often work 1PM-close, but the schedule says 1pm-9pm even though they’re done at 5pm. Basically 4 hours of free money for them and it pisses me off. So to answer your question, If you’re out on the schedule for the lost hours, you get paid for them
