I’ve made this before and it’s honestly pretty good, the mango dragonfruit is definitely a better option for it though. Give it a try before you hate on it

Wouldn’t the coconut milk curdle with lemonade?
Assiqtaq9 points3y ago
A common misconception due to the fact that it is called "milk" when it isn't actually milk. It is actually a fruit juice. Curdling is due to the nature of animal milk, and has nothing to do with similarly named fruit or nut "milk". What you see as curdling in pink drinks isn't true curdling such as would happen with 2%, it's just separating.
Gingersnap53229 points3y ago
I’ve never seen it curdle and I’ve made a few, if that’s what you’re hesitant about just add a little bit of lemonade. I’ve always done half coconut half lemonade in the juice section of the shaker.
alliahj0hnson3 points3y ago
That’s what I do also, it’s one of my favorites!
BrookeMargot3 points3y ago
Only dairy products curdle, not anything with the name milk in it.
Raychable1 points3y ago
What’s the difference between the strawberry base (fruit juice) and lemonade (fruit juice)?
Cabwriting0 points3y ago
No because it’s coconut milk
Sillaaaa6 points3y ago
Dare u to drink it with heavy cream
Gingersnap53227 points3y ago

Sillaaaa1 points3y ago
We're in a pandemic, live it up :D
Gingersnap53223 points3y ago
Maybe if I was paid I hate heavy cream as a drink. Use for cooking you betcha but I ain’t drinking it
Cabwriting3 points3y ago
OKAY LISTEN THO. There was a person at my store who ordered it regularly and I ALWAYS JUDGED THEM but then I tried it and I was so mad because it tastes like strawberry lemonade sherbet, no joke. Shared it with a coworker who also judged her and he was also mad 😂😂
coffeeismymetaphor2 points3y ago
this actually tastes good with 1/2 açaí base and 1/2 mango dragon fruit base, don’t knock it before you try it
ItsMamaB1 points3y ago
I once had someone come in and order a nitro with lemonade... I about vomited
spicypotatogurl [OP]2 points3y ago
NOOOO THAT'S NASTY
that's almost like my brother (who also is a fellow Starbucks barista) who likes to get a lemonade with an affogato shot 🤢
ItsMamaB2 points3y ago
OHHH NO!
drinkliquidclocks1 points3y ago
People order it like this all the time, or a "pink drink with lemonade" and 100% of the time, the customer has no idea what they are ordering.
I politely try to explain, and the 13 year olds look at me like I'm a fucking idiot 😐😐😐
hopelovepeace331 points3y ago
That sounds disgusting! When I first started working at at my store someone ordered a passion tea with heavy cream in it 🤢🤢🤮🤮
spicypotatogurl [OP]1 points3y ago
Sadly that's a common order in my store. Especially with SF vanilla in it
hopelovepeace331 points3y ago
Yea I’m use to the whole extra heavy cream with 10 pumps SF vanilla and 10 Splenda & I still gag every time as well as shake my head cause it’s like what even is the point when you’re still getting whipped cream as well as the other stuff the comes with it.
izziedays1 points3y ago
Yesterday a lady ordered a guava white tea lemonade...... sub peach
spicypotatogurl [OP]2 points3y ago
Yesterday someone ordered a peach green tea with heavy cream... ew
izziedays4 points3y ago
Every time someone asks for sub heavy cream i recoil. Especially in teas.
hopelovepeace331 points3y ago
🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Sillaaaa1 points3y ago
\*curdles softly\*
Edit: I've been properly schooled
Assiqtaq8 points3y ago
Coconut milk isn't milk, its fruit juice. Curdling happens in animal milk, not nut or fruit "milk". What you see happening in pink drinks is just separation, not true curdling.
You can't make cheese out of coconut milk, you won't get curdling.
Sillaaaa1 points3y ago
Really?? I didn't know that haha
But thanks for the tip, I honestly thought the separation was curdling,
So if someone was to add cream to a Lemonade that would curdle, right?
Assiqtaq1 points3y ago
It absolutely would. In fact, the way cheese is made is by adding an acid to milk, though I don't think lemonade would work even if it didn't have sugar? Not sure about that though.
The fact that they call coconut milk "milk" means people get really confused about it. I mean, it is good for some things, like helping people realize they can use it instead of cream if they want or need to. But for other things it just makes people more confused. But then again, it would not make it better to call it coconut juice, people would just be confused the other way.
Sillaaaa1 points3y ago
Woowo. Ya calling it "coconut juice" would make customer interactions so much worse and so much funnier at the same time lmao
devynfischer0 points3y ago
SOMEONE ORDERED THAT FROM MY STORE YESTERDAY i’m not a fan
spicypotatogurl [OP]0 points3y ago
