One month working at Starbucks and I honestly love it but it’s quite overwhelming. The drive through is the only thing open so far and I’m expected to get the cars moving which can be overwhelming sometimes and my coworkers can frustrate me. I’m the youngest there and also new so sometimes I’m not even sure if they’re trying to help me out or trying to boss me around. Everything feels like a rush and I can’t wait for the cafe to open so I can actually interact with people without feeling like I’m in a rush.

Yea it’s a really weird time right now and you are getting an amped-up version of the Starbucks work experience. Just try not to worry about what your fellow partners think because everyone is really stressed right now. When the cafe opens things should be getting a little less hectic but nobody knows when the “Starbucks experience” will be back to normal. As long as you hang in there and push through these tough and busy days things should get better. Hopefully your partners will be more supportive, helpful, and kind in the future. If they continue to do so I would honestly want to transfer or even find another job. Half the reason why I work at Starbucks is because of the people I work with. I promise you you are doing a great job :) just give it extra time since we are in a pandemic right now!

Give it till the end of all of this. It’s overwhelming for everyone especially green beans. Once your in a normal grove you’ll be okay
