My store is reopening on May 4th, like most other stores with limited hours. But, on the new schedule for the week of May 11th, it looks like our hours are going back to the original hours.
Is anyone else’s store doing the same? i don’t understand why we would have limited hours on our first week of being back open, but jump immediately back to our regular hours the following week?

I wouldn't read into your schedule for the 11th yet. I think a lot of decisions are still being made and it will likely change.

i hope so. :-) it’d be kinda ridiculous to have the store open at 5 am again right now.

We reopened Monday at 7 am, and I swear we had like, maybe 10 paying customers during my 6 hour shift? Felt pretty ridiculous to be open period tbh.
Edit: words

that’s what i’d imagine for my store too! hopefully, they’ll take note and reconsider.

I hope so too. Personally, I decided to go back on CAT pay until it runs out. Tho it's mostly because I'm moving next Saturday, and I couldn't deal with the added anxiety of it all.

If you've taken CAT pay, are you going back after it ends? From what I hear in the US, it's still spreading quite a bit and I have reservations about going back tbh.
If we choose not to come back are we going to be let go? Or is it just leave without pay? I'm guessing these are mainly questions for my SM, but I would like to know what to expect before sticking my neck out asking about the finer details. If people aren't going to school or allowed to go out in large gatherings, it's not my personal calling to make sure they get their Frappuccino.

My GM said you can apply for unpaid leave if you aren’t comfortable coming back yet. You definitely shouldn’t lose your job. He also said that for the month of May we will still have $3 extra/hr, and will get paid our regular hours even though we will be working limited hours. He did say that the extra pay is not meant to be incentive to return to work, and urged us to really think if we feel safe to return yet.
I am lucky to have a great GM who has been FaceTiming us 2-3 times a week, since quarantine happened, to keep us up to date and answer questions!

Do you know where you apply for this at?

My manager said that they might have different hours the week of the 11th. I’m guessing they are going to see how it goes with limited hours and possibly open the hours up if it’s successful. If the hours remain limited on the 11th then hours will be cut
