My brother and I have been baristas for 20 combined years. Our mother still calls it a tai chee latte.

Not technically a mispronunciation, but there was this lady that would pronounce croissant as qua-son. She didn’t have any sort of French accent when she ordered and looked like a stereotypical soccer mom. My coworkers and I still pronounce it as qua-son to this day lol

Used to have a lady who'd come in and order a caramel mach-en-yatta. You'd think what she wanted was a macchiato. But no, she wants a vanilla bean frap with extra caramel walls and topping. 🙄

official_koda_1 points3y ago
I’ve only ever heard someone call it peak once while I was on DTO. Problem is for some reason it cracked me up so much, for like five minutes I was having to hold back laughter while taking orders.
