How many of you guys are able to get 6-8 hour shifts? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Critical50
After building a better standing with my first manager he started giving me 6-8 hour shifts, so I still got decent hours but more days off in the week.

With my current manager Im working 5 days a week, but also only 25 hour weeks..

And yes, I know with the current climate I probably cant get as many shifts or hours as I want. But it was like this long before the pandemic.

I’ve been through 4 different managers, and all of them always prioritized supervisors. I’ve never had less then 35 unless I wanted less. Idk if this somewhat answers your question.

I used to work at Starbucks for a year and a half. During that time we had 4 SMs and 1 ASM come and go. I had morning availability and wanted as many hours as possible. I would probably get anywhere from 25-35 hours a week. Honestly, I dont think theres anything you can do to change it as they staff according to the numbers/labor. They will cut labor not guarentee full time to anyone. Maybe you could transfer to another store near you if they possibly more coverage? Or pick up shifts if you can since you can pick up shifts from any store technically.
