Starbucks baristas please help! (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by KaaoticKitten
I, myself am not a barista, just a coffee lover. My husband bought me a nespresso vertuo for an early Mother’s Day gift, and I was ecstatic to make my own coconut milk lattes at home. I used silks unsweetened coconut milk, with mild hopes it would foam up to Starbucks extent just because of what I’d heard about non dairy mills in general, but this didn’t froth up at all. :(
If any of you baristas could point me in the direction of a decent alternative to Starbucks Sumatra coconut milk, I’d be SO grateful !

Consider getting an actual milk frother, like from Amazon, to froth the milk after it's steamed. It'll make it nice and foamy

It came with the aeroccino 3, and I feel like it froths too slow and that might be the issue? I have no real idea... I’d hate for it to go to waste and have to buy a different frother

A battery powered regular milk frother with froth it without heating it, so your machine will still steam the milk

The sumatra milk is sweetened, not sure if that would contribute to the frothing.
