You definitely have the option of taking a 30-day unpaid LOA... initiated through Sedgwick by PRSC. It takes some time to get approved, but you will eventually get approved.
During this time, you can definitely use Vacation time. My DM said Sick time as well, but I´ve read on here that some people have been told by PRSC that it´s only Vacation time. I have one partner who opted for this LOA... I will use Vacation and Sick time at his request.

I was told I can use sick time. I decided to do that for another week before I head back to work.
