Shift supervisor here. Should be transferring to NYC in the fall and with a couple of stores willing to take me, I need y’all’s help! Which stores in NYC and surrounding areas should I avoid? Or any advice, things I should know? Thank you in advance!

Depends on what’s your experience. Any store in Lower Manhattan is going to be super slammed. Stores in Queens and Brooklyn are a bit more lenient. The Bronx is a different breed, I would not go there unless you have experience handling with some incompetent partners.

Hey, I actually live in the Bronx and I work in Mid-Town. I don’t know if it’s because I’m a native New Yorker but the commute isn’t bad. I take the MTA and I get to my job in about an hour. If the Bronx is your option I recommend the Pelham Parkway/ White Plains Rd store. I’ve had by far the best experience there as a borrowed partner. I think you should pick a store closer to your location because traveling cross-borough is a pain (traffic delays, construction, parking, full capacity buses skipping stops, etc). I can’t speak for every store in nyc but I had a good experience as a customer in the Queens and Manhattan stores I went to.
