(Advice)
Starbucks has a lot of people who take their jobs way too seriously. Think of The exact archetype of a person who reminds the teacher that the homework is due. Watch what you say and do with this in mind. Learn your coworkers, don’t be afraid to give difficult customers free things to get them out of your face, believe it or not it’s actually policy. If you’re stressed remember ITS JUST COFFEE and they’re not paying you enough to stress over it.
As far as tips are concerned, Honestly it depends on how willing you are to bend the rules.
Here’s a common one that everyone does,
If you’re on bar making hot drinks, occasionally the machine will tell you to press the rinse button. It won’t let you pull shots until you rinse and the process takes like an extra 10-15 seconds. To bypass this, just press rinse and immediately unlatch the grounds drawer and push it back into place. This will let you instantly start on your next drink and improve your times.

Have fun! I was so shy and anxious my first month there that I never actually had any fun. Don’t be afraid to joke around with coworkers and customers, cause those friendships will be what gets you through the harder days:)
