I’m trans(mtf), and I was actually just about to get Starbucks to cover electrolysis, but covid 19 kinda got in the way of continuing on with that. You do need to work enough to get insurance but we only need to average 20 hours a weak in Ohio to qualify. You do need to get a silver or better insurance plan which can be a little expensive, but it is worth it. I’ve talked to other baristas who have gotten things covered, however you do have to go through some red tape and jump through some hopes. Ohh it’s also been a really accepting environment, I’m out to pretty much all of my coworkers about being a queer trans woman and their all awesome. I’ve met two other trans baristas and I’ve been working here for a year in a half🏳️‍🌈
