Sad you can’t wear your Fitness Watch to track your activity on the floor? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I love seeing my calories and steps! Especially at work where my heart rate is almost always high (commence internal screaming)
I have an Apple Watch that reads my heart rate and was naturally bummed I couldn’t wear my watch on the floor. I’d taken some A&P classes and know about that big-ass artery running up the inside of your arm, and wondered if my watch could read it.
I’ve been testing it out for about a week and it looks like it works really well!! I use a thick hairband as a band extension (I have breakable wrists but very large arms) and put that thing on “waterproof” so I don’t accidentally call the cops while I work. It took a little bit to figure out what was too tight/too loose, but I’m really happy with my results! (I’ve worn it a few days without the waterproof setting incident-free, I’m just a worry-wort.)
It’s definitely not as accurate as wearing it on your wrist, but it works for me! I hope it helps any other baristas interested in how many steps they take rushing between the oven and DTO, and how many calories they burn trying not to decaf a Karen. Stay safe out there!
