We had 2 SEPARATE customers today say, “I want a decaf with sugar and cream,” and just drive off. We didn’t know what they wanted so... decaf americano it was, with 1 sugar packet and cream, right? BOTH take a sip and say, “this isn’t what I ordered!” So we repeat, decaf with cream and sugar? The woman says, “I wanted a decaf frappuccino, mocha, with 1 pump of the mocha, and made with half and half, why would anybody order this?!” The man says, “I obviously meant a decaf latte made with half and half and 1 sweet and low, why does Starbucks hire idiots?”


Both times we were trying to explain that if they can hold out until we repeat the order back to make sure we get it right. Both times we got back the very well known, “well the Starbucks at my hometown knows what I want so, I just assumed you guys would know.” We are a Starbucks in a tourist city, if you don’t come by, every day, we don’t know your drink. I mean, we have reddit to communicate, but even then... we’re not like, “Guys, lady in red car says decaf with sugar and cream, but she means decaf mocha frappuccino with 1 pump of mocha, breve, and light whip, ok?” Like what the heck is going on???

Someone asked for a “Frappe” yesterday and I asked what kind and they just said “Frappe” again. Frappuccino flavored frappuccino it is then.

what kind did they want? or what's the rest of the story either way lol 👀

The only benefit to wearing masks right now is I can mouth “wtf” during these moments and no one knows 😂
