I feel dumb staying home and not working. (self.starbucksbaristas)

So on wednesday, right as Im about to finish getting ready, I start coughing. So I called out, kinda panicking. I didnt want to get anyone sick.
Then the whole day, I felt completely fine.
Next morning, I throw up. Pretty sure it was something I ate. But I got tested anyways. To keep my tracks covered with work and to be safe.
But now Im sitting here with 5 days off in a row, people covering my shifts.. because of a random cough and likely silly one day food poisoning. 🤦♂️
Then the whole day, I felt completely fine.

uhmm no, even before the pandemic, if anything is coming back out of your stomach thats a solid “you need to call out”. Now, there’s all the more reason to play it safe and call out if you need to.
