Food in blenders? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by bompwa
Hi all, recently transferred from a store in NY to a store in AZ...and at this store in Arizona, I was told something I could not believe..that "you can put anything from the pastry case into the blender " (and apparently bananas also...) what gives?
Have I been told wrong in the past or has this store been doing some violate stuff?

Bananas I know can go into the blender because we used to have smoothies. Actual food from the pastry case I've always been told not to do, but have not actually seen an official thing from corporate about it.

You’re not supposed to put food in the blender for contamination concerns.

But if your SM doesn’t care, then I guess enjoy it while it lasts...

Update : talked with the SM, they were like "oh boy, I'm gonna have to talk to people about that 🤦🏻‍♂️" so, there we go

Work in an AZ store. Bananas and blueberries are ok in the blender but no other pastries should go in there

This is correct^^^^

No other food items (other than bananas) can go into the blender. I can’t remember where I read it, but I definitely read it somewhere. Might have been in the beverage guide or possibly the maintenance manual.
