Apply to every store you can travel to and then call and follow up until they get so annoyed they have you come in for an interview.

tbh my manager doesn’t hire 16 year olds. Start out with fast food first, get some customer service experience and then start applying when you’re 18. That’s what I had to do at least. Not trying to discourage you, I was once in your shoes. Or if you really want to start now, I know Starbucks kiosks at Vons or Albertsons do hire younger people and give them a good amount of hours.

I started when I was 17, and I’ve been with Starbucks for over a year now. I just applied to a bunch of different stores and got snapped right up, but under current circumstances it’s much less likely.

I started at 19, and I’ve loved it for years. This is genuinely the only workplace I’ve ever had where people smile and care for you, and you’re encouraged to love them right back. At Starbucks, you’re not called an “employee”. You’re a Starbucks partner, and for me that’s genuinely what it feels like.

It helped in my interview talking about the company and what I know of it. I think my manager was impressed I did my research. Also, make sure you emphasize you’re good at communication and teamwork.

The minor labor laws don't fit our business model. This includes kids we KNOW. Like children of managers can't even get hired. I'd start with Chick fil A or Wendy's or similar. Then come to us when you are 18.

My manager hires about 2 high school kids at a time who are usually 16-17. Labor laws also vary by state in the US.
