Yesterday I walked into work and there was a layer of water sitting on the same counter the Mastrena sits on. I work in a licensed store, so unfortunately it’s the only one. My manager told me to still open with teas and coffee, but to just let people know that I could do anything steamed or espresso based. Like sure.

So I prompted all day to kindly let people know before they order of what was happening.

The amount of people that have absolutely NO idea of what goes into their drinks is honestly frightening. I told one family, and the mom goes “you still have iced coffees, right?” So I say “yes.” I finish what I was doing and start to take their order and she orders an iced caramel macchiato. I tell her that I can’t do anything with espresso in it; and she orders an iced white mocha.

I had another girl that I told and she said “oh so no pink drink?”

I’m just amazed at how many people have no idea that they’re drinking espresso. And then wonder why they have all these issues when they don’t have it?

Maybe it’s just me or few like me, but before I order something from anywhere, I always make sure to see what’s exactly being put into it. I mean you can to a certain extent, but there’s plenty of information Starbucks gives you about the drinks. People just don’t utilize it.

People genuinely have zero clue what they're drinking, and sometimes it makes sense (asking about the caramel flavoring syrup in a caramel macchiato, which i can understand) but other times it's the dumbest thing ever.
The one good think about making people drinks is whenever you accidentally send a drink out of the door when you made a mistake, people genuinely dont notice
