I was told by our manager that we are required to have availability on weekends. I am available only Monday through Friday. She said it was a mandatory Sbux decision, but then said I could see if another store would work with those hours and I could transfer. So not a corporate thing then? Does she think I am stupid? Smh

No. Starbucks is known for having all kinds of availability. There are a lot of shitty managers

Yep, so I guess I will be giving my two week notice then.

If you like the job, try to transfer before you quit. If not, 100% quit and give the finger as you leave. 😁

So to transfer you’d need to get the form from you store manager.

That’s the new thing they’re saying right now. I still have my Sunday unavailable, fire me if you want to. Idk anymore at this point since I’m always just going to be the go to guy never get the recognition I deserve.

My spouse’s manager said the same thing. They watch our kid on weekends and spouse’s response was pretty blunt.
Apparently it is coming down from DM’s who are getting their marching orders from somewhere theoretically.

My manager told me the exact same thing when I did my availability for for school. So I changed it and made myself available for Friday and told her that this is the best I can do site to classes so take it or leave it

My first SM pulled this. My new SM adheres to all availability and never pressures us. He just warns us that it might affect our hours if we have limited availability.
