I guess theres a difference in my opinion from "heres the results total" and here are select results that single handedly promote an agenda. (From my perspective the promoted agenda here is: That what starbucks is doing is bad inherently and everyone is angry).

This is just not true. Im sorry but its not. Im grateful that my company allowed me to stay home and get paid. Im grateful that I still HAVE a job. Im in Washington, and so many people I knew were laid off it was so sad.

One of the posts isnt even accurate. We are supposed to wipe all of the ipads, registers, and headsets with sanitizer wipes. That headsets being wiped was even required BEFORE covid. Maybe your store alone isnt doing it correctly, but I know we (my store) are taking those precautions.

I cant understand why everyone is so quick to gang up on a company that is still providing for them in a very big time of need.

No, I dont like all of the choices that Starbucks has made. But this is the world we live in. Im not going to b*tch and moan because I'm not getting even MORE paid time off, when I know people who are WISHING they still had a job to begin with.

Same, I’m honestly really surprised at how well they handled this. My boyfriend works at a Publix (Southern Grocery Store) and all they gave him was a 50 dollar gift card and a 20 cent raise. Oh and less hours.

You live in Washington, therefore you should be acutely aware that you could be making more money on unemployment than cat pay and working.

Not all stores are enforcing cleanliness.

I just witnessed two SMs discussing how to discourage partners talking about unemployment applications.

I'm grateful to have a job. I'm not ready to bend over and spread wide for Starbucks just because they didn't totally fuck us over (while under a lot of media fire shortly before making sudden 180 changes to policy).
