Trans Partners! (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by DualWeaponSnacker
Hey hi howdy, trans partner here (he/him). I’ve had top surgery already through an insurance I used to have, but would like to look into the male lipo geared at trans masculine people. It’s a procedure to try and remove hip and thigh fat that exercise just won’t help. I’ve got super femme hips, I’m over it, I want this procedure. Has anyone else gotten a less often done procedure and how did it go with our insurance? I took the aetna gold plan. I love it so far!

I know starbucks was covering trans related surgeries that insurance (must be thru sbux) would not cover at all. I was a bit disappointed by finding out within the fine print, that the insurance company must deny FULL coverage for the surgery in order for starbucks to pay for it. Being that 90% of the insurance companies that starbucks chooses to offer WILL cover a portion of the surgery, you will most likely have to pay whatever your deductible would be or your out of pocket maximum! However they have a whole system you can call and get set up with an “advocate” if you call I believe partner resources and they’d walk you through the process and answer all the questions you could think of! I wish you the best of luck! 💜
