RIGHT?! It makes me wonder why they ever even switched over to the printers in the first place.... I have a store with mostly newer partners who do not know how to mark or read cups so needless to say this morning has been chaos. Especially that we don’t even know what’s being ordered until we just have to keep rechecking the slow ass POS systems....

I’m like embarrassed to even know this is going on right now and that they don’t even give a single fuck how we handle it🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬!!

same im the only one who worked this morning who knows how to read and write cups the correct way. it was a cluster.... i already told my SM if its not fixed by tomorrow im not working. i already had a breakdown yesterday and almost one today. i will say luckily most of my customers where very understanding about the chaos and wait times

Yes, prioritize your mental health first. You’re doing the best you can, and I’m glad your customers saw that. I hope the problem is solved ASAP. This can’t continue to operate this way, they can’t claim to care about their partners and customers so much while letting this HUGE obstacle (that hinders an already impacted “customer experience”) fall onto the partners shoulders.

Wait what the labels broke down throughout the entire company??
bbun223 12 points 3y ago
Apparently. We are dying here. No labels or mobiles printing at all... on Summer launch day. Everyone is about ready to walk out.

yeah this morning most stores where

From what I hear about Seattle is you can't walk down the street without tripping over three programmers and a systems engineer so I really don't know why this multi billion dollar company is doing here

Damn, been there. I've had the POS go down on me during some type of Youtube Creator convention on the weekend. My DM refused to let us close and wanted us to USE CALCULATORS TO PROCESS TRANSACTIONS! I just announced to the store that due to the register failures we would give them free drinks but not sell any food....Still don't regret it.
foxxy_roxxy [OP] 10 points 3y ago
i give out free stuff all the time when the pos goes down. the other day i probably gave out 15 cars worth of stuff cause the dt reg froze during peak and i was not having it.

I just hate that there's no real protocol for when the situation arrises. Bux acts like their equipment can NOT fail when in reality it glitches constantly. Especially the fuckin' app -_-

Happened to me today in San Diego! Luckily mobiles were printing but I was the only one on a floor of 8 who could read/write cups
bilo1227 8 points 3y ago
That’s doable

Dealing with the entitled customers is NOT. One guy came through the drive thru with so much attitude in his tone and ended his sentence with “if you guys don’t have ANY FUCKING food just say so instead of wasting my time” and drove off... after me, just the guy at the window, apologized to him and told him multiple times “I’m sorry sir our system is down we are having a hard time” ...

But nooooo,,, starbucks employees? We’re not humans lol Covid-19 DOESNT affect us apparently.

Omg it was rough, there were 2 of us in the store that knew how to write and read cups and only one of us on the floor, me! And I was on bar all by myself and couldn’t keep telling them how to write the damn cups! I’m at my breaking point for reals.
kitcat1210 7 points 3y ago
Stickers started printing like an hour ago for us. We all cheered so loud😂

SAME

It was so brutal. I wanted to burn the whole store down.

And I can honestly say it takes a LOT to ruffle me at work.
nooget24 4 points 3y ago
Good to know it wasn't just our store!
nofoam_cappuccino 2 points 3y ago
Omg we were told it was only our district!!!
smilygirrl12 2 points 3y ago
My store is still having issues with the printers 🙃
crzyshiba 2 points 3y ago
I hate writing the drinks lol I’m sorry for my crappy writing to people on bar haha

Long ago partner here. RLS (late 90s/early 2k) is still better than the crap that's deployed now.
