Starbucks customers just don’t get it? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by melancholymelonboy
I’m wondering how other stores customers are doing with the mobile only pick up stores. My store has very clear signs, as well as very clear lines marked outside where to wait, yet everyday we just get moshes of people circling around the door, in each other’s faces, trying to come in at the same time...

And I’m very nicely letting people know it’s only one customer at a time, we’ll be right with them, and to please wait on the line. Which is followed by the customers circling right in front of the door!

At every other restaurant or super market I’ve been to, when there is a line or signs set up everyone seems to get it...

So is it just starbucks customers lacking the ability to follow instructions? Is this what you’re experiencing? Or is it just the area my store is located being surrounded with ignorance?

Yeah my store was experiencing the same problems, we had it plastered on every window and on the A frames but people just wouldn’t understand it, has your store implemented a concierge barista yet? We found it helped reduce confusion

Same with my store and people feel the need to just not care at Starbucks. I feel they’re used to in and out fast service compared to other retail stores. They literally see the tapes lined on the ground and signs but yet ignore them. Especially with wearing a mask. I’ll politely mention to a customer that we appreciate if they can wear a mask and they shrug and ignore me and proceed to just order. Like we need our safety too!!! Btw, this is at DT Only Starbucks location too!!!

Do you only have one door? We're alright but we've got 2 doors and they sent us stickers to mark the floor 6 feet apart so more than one person can be inside
