So I'm a student from Singapore studying film. My team and I have been tasked to do an entertainment show about memes🤩. I'd like to collect some opinions and insights about memes. Whether you create memes or consume memes Feel free to add any opinions you guys have!
1. What inspires you to come up with memes?
2. In your opinion, what makes a meme good or bad?
3. What psychological impact do you think your memes have? Is there any that are intentional?
4. We realised that most memes are built on either someone's or someone else's suffering (ie: mockery, sarcasm, etc). Do you think this is true, and why? Is it possible for it to be funny without causing 'suffering'?
5. Sometimes companies take advantage of memes to reach out to a younger audience. Do you think it takes away the novelty of memes?
6. Do you think memes are a big part of youth culture now? How do you think it has grown?
7. As a partner, do you think memes connect us even though we work at different Starbucks from all over the world?
Thank you guys so much for helping with the project. Stay safe and healthy!
