I absolutely love customers out of the lobbies however my store gets nearly endless amounts of dt customers who all ask when our lobby will be open. :,)

we open our lobby on Monday.

We opened this week for grab and go and have already had numerous customers complaining about the fact that we're not "open- open" for them to sit and use the wifi. Told a few guys they are welcome to use our wifi from the comfort of their cars outside as always and they didn't appreciate it haha

Oh man!! Ive been having conversations with customers all day and they all feel very strongly about opening seating and what not. Nearly all of them have forgotten we're still in a pandemic its crazy. A lot of the customers were also happy we are always busy at this point. :(

It kind of makes them look stupid. Unless multiple other businesses are allowing sit down service (which they're not or starbucks would make sure they were) why would they expect it at Starbucks. And its already a big step forward to open up (we are doing so monday) and allow people inside with cash and card when many businesses still do curbside...why does it need to jump to everything for them?

You have removed most of the chairs right? We did that in our store for upcoming monday just to make sure people don't see and assume they can sit?

same, one guy broke in and used the bathroom when we weren’t looking today and scared the shit out of us 😂
at least half of the customers try to order at the front and get pissed when they find out the have to order on the app
sloveniie 3 points 3y ago
My sm just lets people order at the front most of the time. :,) its a little frustrating when we have our dt open as well as mobile orders.
cilantroprince 1 points 3y ago
that’s so chaotic! some people honestly need to be told no and it’s kinda satisfying to do it when entitled people demand we make them their coffee. yelling louder won’t help your case, now either take 3 seconds to type in your order on the app or go away. i wish 😂

My store has bee reopened for three weeks now with restricted hours and block scheduling so basically half the partners work one day and half work the next day AND I just became a trainer and I have my very first green bean.

I can’t imagine a better time to be training a new partner and learning what it’s like to train someone

We are back to our full hours again and not enough people to be staffed, I’ve come in every day that I haven’t opened and nothing is done. I want to cry I’m so frustrated and over it already.
cilantroprince 1 points 3y ago
that sounds awful i’m so sorry!
JCaligirl420 2 points 3y ago
It’s so awful. But I’m finishing my degree and then I’m gone! I have 4 sessions or 2 semesters
cilantroprince 1 points 3y ago
congrats!!! you’re going to do great!!!!

HA! When my store was pickup only it was basically 7 partners sitting in the lobby on their phones all day while I literally ran around all day closing by myself (a fact even my sm commented on)

Opening is so easy now! No pastry case, so all I have to do is make teas, mocha and frap roast. Plus I don't have to deal with customers as much. It's a win-win.
