PUA or other benefits during unpaid leave?(self.starbucksbaristas)

In the newest letter from Kevin Johnson, he states that that
“we are extending the COVID-19 unpaid leave policy through the end of September as an option for those partners who need the safety net of Starbucks comprehensive benefits and wish to remain a Starbucks partner, while being able to access any emergency benefits they may be eligible for by their state or by Congress through the CARES Act.”
I’ve been trying to figure out what to do upon catastrophe pay ending very soon.. I’m still so scared to come back. I’m also not very good with all this stuff, and I’m trying to figure things out. But the way this is stated, I feel like we will be eligible for something, but I’m not sure? I just don’t want to make the decision and then not be eligible for any benefits. I may be absolutely terrified of going back, but I cannot survive with no income. I’m super anxious which is preventing me from thinking straight. And I could just use some insight and/or advice

I’m sorry- you’ve been receiving CAT pay through the month of May? My SM told me it ended in April and that I must return to work when my 30-day unpaid emergency leave is over, which is in June. My SM has mentioned nothing to me about the extended CAT pay nor the extended leave. My family and I are terrified for me to return to work as my father had a heart transplant.

SMs had the ability to extend CAT pay depending on circumstances. A coworker had no choice but to stay home with her 4 kids because her husband was essential. She got extended. People who are “immunocompromised”, things of that nature.
Are you living at home with your father? You should speak with your SM or go further up if you need to seeing as your SM does not seem to be informing you of anything or helping much.
