Old guy got mad cause he couldn’t order inside.(self.starbucksbaristas)

Had some old guy come into my store today to try & place an order, when one of my co-workers told him that he needed to either place a mobile order or go through the drive thru. This man started yelling loudly to where you could hear him over the espresso machines & the music with how loudly he was speaking. He eventually ended up leaving pissed off (oh well!) but for a moment I full blown ready to run up out there & tell him he needed to leave of I would call the cops on him. This is absolutely ridiculous & why we shouldn’t be opening back up the cafes because customers will NOT obey social distancing & they won’t be wearing mask which is unsafe for the partners.

My stores cafe is open to order and pick up mobile orders. People get so mad they can’t “hang out” inside 🙄

i don’t get why they’d even want to hangout inside. like we’re in the MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC FFS

It’s beyond ridiculous! Just because things are opening doesn’t mean this virus has gone away. People just aren’t using their common sense & I’m scared for people to be coming in at all & not just because of the virus but because we partners are going to have to be the ones that regulate people coming in & you never know how people are going to react. People are literally becoming verbally & physically violent with people & also killing people because stores are asking them to respect social distancing & wearing mask.

the killing part is literally so crazy. you’re gonna off a grocery store security personnel because you’re offended that they kindly asked you to wear a mask and save other people’s lives? there is a special place in hell for these ones

Yea we've had many attitudes because we weren't fully open.
I don't think we are ready to open cafes for social distancing for another reason. The amount of people who claim the app doesn't work or they can't figure it out, while hundreds of others have no problem with it.
Its safe to assume if people have enough trouble over a month figuring our an app when they use smartphones every day....they can easily have trouble understanding rules inside the store too.

As a Shift I would not tolerate that kind of disrespect toward a partner, I would tell that customer to take his head out of his fourth point of contact and take his business elsewhere

Our shift was on his 30 & my co-worker handled himself very well but when I saw him go out & start talking to other customers I was about to walk out there & tell him he needed to leave before I had my manager call the cops on him. They can have their temper tantrums but don’t involve or bother other customers with your childish tantrums because they are to ignorant to read a news article or figure out the app.

Being a shift also means standing up for our partners! I feel like their Starbucks mom and I need to protect my babies from entitled people

they should be lucky we’re even opened at all

Fam I had a little girl ask me on two separate visits in one day if we could do a CM blended. She seemed upset about it for some reason, like honey do you want a milk blender with affogato shot??
