First Time Trainer! (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by BrownRiceBunny
Hey there I need some advice!

I’m *officially* training my first trainee from start to finish and I have some questions.

My SM wants me to train them to be a peak bar partner. I have a list of things wrong with that but that’s besides the point.

How can I train someone on bar during peak? How would you have liked to be trained on bar before you worked your first peak?

I have some ideas because I’ve trained people on bar just not on peak. I’ve gotten good feedback on helping new partners manage their anxiety so I can talk them through that — I’n just uncertain on the timing and logistics.

They only way to really train someone for peak times is to teach them how to sequence over and over again, there’s nothing really else to it just train them by the book and add a little personal tips that helped you don’t worry too much about your SM just be confident

when i was trained, my trainer and i were doing our own lil thing so we would just relax and practice sequencing and building the different types of drinks there are. we have 3 bars so we would use one of them

The store I’m currently at only has 2 bars so we’ll see how this goes.
